Taxi Fares in the Dublin Taxi Meter Area

Taxi Fares – Effective from 17th January 2005

MINIMUM FARE

(For distances not exceeding 1 kilometre or time 2 minutes 48 seconds)

(a) Day time 8am to 10pm	€3.40
(b) Night time 10pm to 8am	€3.70
(c) Sundays, Public Holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve	€3.70

JOURNEY LENGTH CHARGE

(For each additional 1/6^th of a kilometre or time 28 seconds)

(a) Day time 8am to 10pm	€0.15
(b) Night time 10pm to 8am	€0.20
(c) Sundays, Public Holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve	€0.20

EXTRA CHARGES

Additional passengers: each passenger	€0.50
(excluding infants in arms; 2 children under 10 count as one person)
Luggage per item:	€0.50
(charge limited to 2 pieces of luggage)
Animals: per animal (other than guide dogs)	€0.50
Telephone/radio pickup	€1.50
Dublin Airport (charge for hiring at rank)	€1.50
Soiling Charge	€75.00
